In conjunction with the 75th anniversary of the Army, Security Forces-Central organized a book donation programme and awareness lecture for senior students of Diyatalawa Maha Vidyalaya on 16 August 2024.

12 Infantry Division Distributes Grade 5 Model Papers to Hambantota and Monaragala Students

Coinciding with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, the 12 Infantry Division distributed Grade 5 scholarship model papers to targeted students in the Hambantota and Monaragala districts under the instruction and guidance of Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndc psc, General Officer Commanding of the 12th Infantry Division.

12 Infantry Division Troops Conduct 'Shramadana' Campaign

Under the guidance of Major General P.K.W.W.M.J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, the General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division, a Shramadana Campaign was conducted coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the Army by the troops of the 12 Infantry Division at the Vadihitikanda Rajamaha Viharaya premises on 13 August 2024.

Students Receive Scholarship Exam Kits Through Army Initiative

Under the guidance of Major General P.A.M Peiris RSP USP psc, General Officer Commanding of the 22 Infantry Division, 500 question paper kits were distributed to students of Padavi Jayantti Vidyalaya and Thambakotte Vidyalaya on 09 August 2024.

5 GW Builds New House for a Needy Family

A new house was erected by the troops of 5 Gemunu Watch (GW) for a needy family in Wellawaya area with sponsorship provided by Mr. E.M Hemantha Kumara. The new house was vested in the beneficiary on 04 August 2024 during a brief ceremony.

New Altar Dresses Distributed at St. Mary’s Church in Pooneryn

Six new altar boy dresses were distributed to the altar boys at St. Mary’s Church in Pooneryn on 11 August 2024, under the supervision of Colonel C.D. Welagedara USP IG, Commander of the 552 Infantry Brigade, and with the coordination of the 22 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment.

Grade 5 Scholarship Seminar and School Accessories Distribution at 55 Infantry Division

Under the leadership of Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna, and guidance of Major General R.K.N.C Jayawardena RSP ndc, General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division, Grade 5 Scholarship seminar was organized at Jayapuram School, Poonaryn, Kilinochchi on 10 August 2024. Colonel C.D Welagedara USP IG, Commander of 552 Infantry Brigade supervised the programme under the assistance extended by 22 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and 2 Sri Lanka National Guard

Cleaning at Bellanwila Rajamaha Viharaya for 74th Esala Maha Perahera Festival

Under the instructions of the Commander of the 142 Infantry Brigade, an initiative to clean, repair, and enhance the grounds and facilities of Bellanwila Rajamaha Viharaya commenced on 24 July 2024 and continued until 6 August 2024 by the troops of the Brigade. This initiative was undertaken in preparation for the 74th Esala Maha Perahera Festival.

3 SLNG Constructs New House for Needy Family

Coinciding with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, troops of the 3 Sri Lanka National Guard (3 SLNG) constructed a new house for a needy family in Sella Kataragama and vested in the beneficiary on 6 August 2024.

Completion of a New House for Beneficiary in Rajawewa

Under the guidance of Major General S.A. Kulathunga RWP RSP VSV USP psc, Commander of the Security Forces – East and Major General P.A.M. Peiris RSP USP psc, General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Division, troops from the 5 Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) successfully completed the construction of a new house for a beneficiary in Thalgaswewa, Rajawewa on 7 August 2024.
