Troops of 11 SLNG Conduct Bodhi Pooja and Dansala on Poson Poya Day

Under the guidance of Brigadier L.S.D.N Pathirathna RSP USP, Commander of the 241 Infantry Brigade, troops from the 11 Sri Lanka National Guard (11 SLNG) conducted a Bodhi pooja at Neeththa Sailathalarama temple on Poson Poya Day. The event included a Poson lanterns display and a coriander drinks Dansala, held in front of the 11 SLNG Headquarters.

Renovation of Sri Vijayarama Temple by 241 Infantry Brigade

The cloud wall of the Sri Vijayarama Temple, which had remained unrenovated for a long time, was recently repaired under the guidance of Brigadier L.S.D.N Pathirathna RSP USP, Commander of the 241 Infantry Brigade. Responding to a request from the Chief Incumbent, troops from the 241 Infantry Brigade undertook the renovation with financial support from Mr. A Abdul Salam, President of the Akkaraipatthu Trade Union, on 14, 15, and 16 June 2024. The work involved colour washing the cloud wall and cleaning the temple premises.

Troops of SLAOC Clean Up Sukitha Handicapped Girls’ Home in Galpatha After Flooding

Following the recent flooding, troops of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) conducted a cleaning operation at the Sukitha Handicapped Girls’ Home in Galpatha on 09 June 2024. Under the directions of Centre Commandant of Regimental Centre SLAOC, Colonel K.M.A.W.K Perera AATO, the soldiers restored the garden and the interior of the building, ensuring the facility was thoroughly cleaned and ready for use.

11 (V) SLSR Conducts Cleaning Initiative in Kaluvanchikudi

A special dengue control programme was held island-wide from 27 May 2024 to 01 June 2024. Simultaneously, a cleaning initiative was conducted by the 11 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) troops in Kaluvanchikudi area.
