Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Commandant (Overlooking) of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), visited the 3rd (Volunteer) Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (3 (V) SLSR) on 14th January 2025.

The 2024 National Beach Sepaktakraw Championship, organised by the Sri Lanka National Sepaktakraw Association, concluded on 19th January 2025 at Mount Lavinia Beach. The Sri Lanka Army men's and women's Sepaktakraw teams emerged victorious in both the men's and women's events.

Under the guidance of Commander of the Army, Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Commandant (Overlooking) of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), addressed SLAVF Officers on 21st January 2025, focusing on aligning military efforts with the “Clean Sri Lanka” initiative, launched by HE the President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Commandant (Overlooking) of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), visited the 2nd (V) Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment (2 (V) GR) on 17th January 2025.

Lieutenant Colonel Mandeep Singh Negi, SM, the Assistant Defence Adviser of the High Commission of India to Sri Lanka, paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, the Commander of the Army, on 16th January 2025.

Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Commander of the Security Forces (West) and the Commandant (Overlooking) of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), awarded financial grants to Officers pursuing advanced military studies at the SLAVF Headquarters on 10th January 2025.

Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, paid a courtesy visit to the Army Base Hospital in Kandy on 14th January 2025 to review its operational aspects and receive updates on its current functionality.

Major General R.P.A.R.P. Rajapaksa RSP was invited to the office of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, on 15th January 2025, along with his family members, prior to his retirement from the Sri Lanka Army.

The newly appointed Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, received blessings from His Eminence Cardinal, Most Rev. Dr. Malcolm Ranjith, Archbishop of Colombo, during a visit to the Archbishop’s House in Colombo on 11th January 2025.

Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army together with Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), attended a Special Thai Pongal Pooja held on 14th January 2025 at Mayurapathy Sri Bathrakali Amman Kovil, Colombo 6 in line with the Thai Pongal Day.
