On the occasion of the 77th Independence Day, the 51 Infantry Division, under the guidance of Major General M.P.N.A Muthumala USP psc, General Officer Commanding, conducted a cleaning programme at St. Teresa Elders' Home on 04 February 2025.

Under the direction of the Commander of the Army, the 12 Infantry Division conducted a beach cleaning programme on 09th February 2025 as part of the “Clean Sri Lanka Programme.” The initiative was carried out in close coordination with government officials of Hambantota, covering the coastal stretch from Hambantota to Tangalle.
Under the guidance of the Commander of the Army and as part of the ‘Clean Sri Lanka programme the Battalion Training School Punani & 7th Light Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery(SLA) conducted a cleaning initiative on 04th February 2025 to mark Independence Day.
Symbolizing the 77th National Independence Day, a programme to distribute school stationery materials including (school bags, shoes, books and water bottles) among school students was held on 04th February 2025 at Kirimatiyawa Gamini Vidyalaya, Kekirawa under the direction of Brigadier B.A.M.P Balasooriya RSP, the Commander 212 Infantry Brigade.
Under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (East) and supervision of Commanders of 241 and 243 Infantry Brigades, troops conducted a lunch and gift donation programme for children's homes in Akkaraipattu and Arugampuli on 04th February 2025.
Under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (East), and the Commanding Officer of the 7th Battalion of the Gemunu Watch (7 GW), the troops of 7 GW provided lunch for the children at Thilakawathi Children's Home in Kathiraweli on 04th February 2025, in celebration of the 77th Independence Day.
Under the guidance Commander, Security Forces (East), and the instructions of General Officer Commanding, 24 Infantry Division, the troops of 242 Infantry Brigade and 8 Sri Lanka National Guard, conducted a lunch and school supplies donation program at the Methodist Children’s Home in Thirukkovil on 4th February 2025.
Under the guidance of Major General B.G.S Fernando USP Hdmc psc, General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division, the troops of 55 Infantry Division constructed a ‘Children’s Park’ to provide a space for joy and adventure for children in the Kilinochchi area.
Under the guidance of Major General P.R Pathiravithana USAWC psc, Commander, Security Forces (East) and the instructions of the Commander, 232 Infantry Brigade, the troops of the 232 Infantry Brigade conducted a lunch packet and yogurt distribution programme on 04th February 2025.
Under the guidance of Brigadier W.K.S.P.M.R.A.B Dodamwala psc, Commander of 522 Infantry Brigade, and the supervision of Major S.H Sudhusinghe, Commanding Officer of the 10th Battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (10 VIR), the troops of 10 VIR conducted a tree planting programme at St. Anthony's Church, Manalkadu, on 04th February 2025 in conjunction with the 77th National Independence Day.
