The 542 Infantry Brigade distributed essential learning materials and school accessories to 94 students from Poomalandan Primary School and Madhu Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya at Poomalandan Preschool on 07th January 2025.
Under the guidance of Major General W.P Kariyawasam, General Officer Commanding of the 23 Infantry Division, and the leadership of the Commanding Officers of the 7th Battalion, the Gemunu Watch (7 GW) and the 9th Field Regiment, Sri Lanka Artillery (9 SLA) organized two impactful donation programmes on 04 January 2025.
Under the supervision of Brigadier M.G.A Malandeniya RSP, Commander of 231 Infantry Brigade and with the leadership of the Commanding Officer of 12th Battalion, the Gemunu Watch (12 GW), the troops of 12 GW organized a donation programme for 722 students of Vijaya Parakrama Primary College and Palatiyawa Primary College at Kalukale in Dimbulagala on 05 January 2025.
Major General W.M.P.M Wijesooriya RWP RSP ndu, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 57 Infantry Division, attended the Prefects’ Investiture Ceremony at St. Bernadette’s Model School, Polgahawela, on 3rd January 2025, as the Chief Guest, following an invitation from the school’s Principal.
Under the guidance of Major General P.R Pathiravithana USAWC psc, General Officer Commanding of the 52 Infantry Division, and with the coordination of the Commanding Officer of the 10th Battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR), a school supplies donation programme was conducted on 04 January 2025 at the Maradankani Cultural Centre.

The troops of 7 Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) and 5 SLSC constructed a new house for Senior Non-Commissioned Officer on 28 December 2024 at Kirindawa in Kuliyapitiya.
Heavy rainfall in the Welikanda area caused the Magulpokuna Tank to overflow, resulting in significant damage to the road connecting Magulpokuna and Kalingawila. In response to this disaster, the 23 Infantry Division, together with troops from the 9th Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA), commenced rapid reconstruction efforts on 02 January 2025.
Under the guidance of Brigadier I.P. Jayasinghe RWP, Commander of the 541 Infantry Brigade, troops of the 541 Infantry Brigade conducted a Dengue Prevention Campaign on 30 December 2024 at the Government Tamil Mixed School in Kalliyadi.
