Brigadier R.M.C. Rathnayake RWP RSP USP ndc officially assumed duties as the 41st Director Welfare of the Sri Lanka Army on 11 December 2025 at the Army Headquarters, amidst religious observances.

Major General M.J.R.S. Medagoda RSP USP ndc psc IG assumed duties as the Colonel Commandant of the Military Intelligence Corps (MIC) at the MIC Regimental Headquarters on 06 December 2025.

A United Nations Mobile Training Team from the German Federal Armed Forces visited the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) on 01 December 2025, to assess the feasibility of conducting a United Nations Peacekeeping Training programme.

Major General T.C.M.G.S.T. Cooray RWP RSP USP ndc psc, General Officer Commanding, 11 Infantry Division, was invited to the office of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, on 08 December 2025, prior to his retirement from the Sri Lanka Army after a distinguished military career spanning over 34 years.

11 Infantry Division bade farewell to their outgoing General Officer Commanding, Major General T.C.M.G.S.T. Cooray RWP RSP USP ndc psc, on Saturday, 05 December 2025, at the Division Headquarters.

Brigadier K.M.G Bandaranayake USP ndc psc assumed office as the 19th Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 01 December 2025 at the SLSC Regimental Centre.

Major General M.P.K.L Amarasinghe WWV RWP RSP ndc of the Special Forces Regiment assumed duties as the 21st General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division on 04 December 2025 during a ceremony held at the 12 Infantry Division Headquarters.

In response to an urgent request from the Anuradhapura Blood Bank regarding a critical shortage of blood for kidney, cancer and thalassaemia patients, the 21 Infantry Division organised an immediate mobile blood donation campaign.

A fire erupted at a factory in Panadura on 24 November 2025, causing extensive damage to the main building and adjoining storage areas. Fire brigades from the Air Force Base, Kalutara and Moratuwa, together with troops of the 1 Sri Lanka Pioneer Corps, promptly responded to contain the blaze, which posed a risk of spreading across the industrial premises.

A fire erupted at a private company showroom in Vauniya on 25 November 2025, causing damage to the building and its contents. The troops of the 7th Regiment of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, with the participation of the Fire Brigade from Air Force Base Vauniya, Municipal Council, Vauniya and Vauniya Police, promptly responded to contain the blaze, which posed a risk of spreading across the premises.
