Major General M.P.K.L Amarasinghe WWV RWP RSP ndc of the Special Forces Regiment assumed duties as the 21st General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division on 04 December 2025 during a ceremony held at the 12 Infantry Division Headquarters.
Upon his arrival, he was accorded a guard turnout presented by the troops of the 18 Gemunu Watch.
Adding memories to the occasion, the GOC posed for a group photograph, planted a sapling, addressed the troops of the Divisionvand attended the all ranks tea.
Senior officers, officers and other ranks participated in the event.
