Major General D.R.N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 59 Infantry Division, visited the 593 Infantry Brigade, 6 Gemunu Watch, and 6 Sri Lanka National Guard on 02 October 2024.

Upon arrival, the GOC was warmly welcomed by the Commander of the 593 Infantry Brigade. A detailed briefing followed, conducted by the Commander of Brigade and Commanding Officers, covering the battalion's deployment, operational roles, and routine duties in their area of responsibility.

During his visit, GOC engaged with the troops, providing valuable guidance and encouragement. Before departing, he penned down complementary remarks in the visitors' books of the respective battalions.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present during the event
