Newly Appointed Colonel Commandant’s Inaugural Visit to 7 (V) SLAC

Major General M.S Devapriya USP ndc, the newly appointed Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) and General Officer Commanding of the 64 Infantry Division, paid his inaugural visit to the 7 (V) SLAC on 29 September 2024.
The Commanding Officer of 7 (V) SLAC, welcomed the visiting Colonel Commandant and then accorded him in a Guard Turnout. To mark the occasion, the Senior Officer planted a sapling and posed for a group photo with Officers and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers.
Then, he received a comprehensive briefing on the unit’s responsibilities and later inspected the camp, addressing troops on discipline, resource management, and financial responsibility. The visit concluded with a lunch at the Officers' Mess, followed by the Colonel Commandant signing the visitors' book.
