Under the guidance of Major General W.M.S.C.K Wanasinghe RSP USP, the General Officer Commanding of the 21 Infantry Division a lecture on CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) was organized at the 21 Infantry Division Headquarters on 23 October 2024.

The 9 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) constructed a new house for a needy family in Yatiyana under the supervision of the Commanding Officer of 9 SLSR, in line with the 75th Army anniversary.

The Eye Unit of Teaching Hospital Jaffna, in collaboration with the Army Base Hospital-Palaly, successfully conducted a special cataract surgery program from 14 to 25 October 2024 at Teaching Hospital, Jaffna. This initiative provided over 2,000 free, high-quality cataract surgeries to patients from rural areas in the Northern Province, under the guidance of Dr. M. Malaravan and a team of five consultant eye surgeons.

Approximately, 51,000 War Heroes from the Tri-Forces, Police, Special Task Force, and Civil Security Department, who courageously defended the nation's territorial integrity, are now living with disabilities. These veterans, residing throughout the country, often face difficulties with parking and access when visiting government institutions.

Major General C.S Munasinghe WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc IG, the Adjutant General of Sri Lanka Army assumed duties as the 26th Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) on 23 October 2024 at the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps.

Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Commander Security Forces (West), presided over a housewarming ceremony on 23 October 2024 as the Chief Guest, marking the handover of a newly-constructed house to a deserving family in Thudawa, Matara.

Under the patronage of the General Officer Commanding, 14 Infantry Division and Colonel of the Regiment of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment(VIR), Major General K.A.W.N.H Bandaranayake USP, the Officers’ Training Day for the fourth quarter of the year 2024 was successfully held at the Regimental Centre, the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment on 25 October 2024.

Under the guidance of Mrs. Udula Kasturimudali, Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAWC-SVB), a partially constructed house for a retired Senior Non-Commissioned Officer was officially vested in the family on 16 October 2024 in Dambagoda.

Troops from the 10 (V) Gemunu Watch (GW) reconstructed the partially damaged Kudariwaththakulam tank bund on 24 October 2024. The restoration, completed under the instructions of the General Officer Commanding of the 54 Infantry Division, guidance of the Commander of the 541 Infantry Brigade, and the supervision of the Commanding Officer of the 10 (V) GW, within few hours.
