The Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch (GW - SVB) hosted a donation programme on 19 October 2024 under the guidance of Mrs. Manori Welagedara, Chairperson of GW - SVB, to support the families of the GW.

Troops of 7 Gemunu Watch (GW), under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (East), and the supervision of Major A.K. Mallawarachchi psc, the Commanding Officer of 7 GW, completed the construction of a new house for the late Corporal W.M. Lalith Bandara of the 18 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) at Navalady, on 23 October 2024.

In line with the 75th Army Day, a special programme for the elderly individuals was organised by the 10 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) at the Urban Elders and Children's Home in Battaramulla on 10 October 2024, under the guidance of the Commander of the 144 Infantry Brigade and the supervision of the Commanding Officer of the 10 SLNG.

Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, the Commander of the Army, was invited by the National Defence College (NDC) to deliver the "Commander's Lecture," themed “Sri Lanka Army Concerns on National Security” on 24 October 2024.

The International Taekwondo Demonstration (Kukkiwon) took place on 23 October 2024, at the Army Physical Training School (APTS). Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, the Commander of the Army, attended the event.

Coinciding with Children’s Day 2024, the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock Seva Vanitha Branch (SLACAL-SVB) organised a stationery and book donation programme for 30 deserving school children of Other Ranks on 19 October 2024.

Brigadier K.T.P. De Silva RSP ndu psc, the newly appointed General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 61 Infantry Division, paid his first official visit to the 613 Infantry Brigade, 9 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR), and the 3 (V) Gemunu Watch (GW) on 16 October 2024.

The Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) bade farewell to Major General S. Katurimudali RSP ndc psc, the outgoing Colonel Commandant of SLAWC, on 20 October 2024 at the Regimental Centre in Borella.
