Under the guidance of Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo, the Chairperson of the Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch (SLA-SVB), a donation program for the children of Other Ranks in need was organized on 18 October 2024 at the 4th Artillery Regiment Auditorium.

The Army Inter-Regiment Chess Championship concluded on 25 October 2024 at the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Panagoda. Players from 14 regiments showcased their exceptional skills competing in three events to claim championship title.

In conjunction with the 75th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC), a War Heroes commemoration ceremony was held on 13 October 2024 at SLAOC War Heroes Monument.

His Excellency Semih Lütfü Turgut, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Republic of Maldives met the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu on 25 October 2024 at the Army Headquarters.

Under the guidance of Major General P.R. Pathiravithana, USAWC psc, General Officer Commanding of the 52 Infantry Division, and the supervision of Colonel S.M.C.A.S. Samarathunga RSP, Commander of the 523 Infantry Brigade, the Katina Pinkama was held at Shri Samuddhi Suman Temple, Nawatkuliya, on 22 and 23 October 2024. Katina Pinkama was sponsored by Reverend Rajakeeya Panditha Alankulame Nayaka Thero including the other monks.

Brigadier M.P.N.A. Muthumala USP psc assumed duties as the 29th General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 56 Infantry Division at Division Headquarters on 23 October 2024.

The Army Inter-Regimental Bodybuilding, Weightlifting, and Powerlifting Tournament - 2024 was held from 22 to 24 October 2024 at the Army Indoor Stadium, Panagoda.

A donation programme was conducted at Mithra Children’s Home, Saliyapura, in celebration of World Children’s Day on 14 October 2024. The event was organised under the guidance of Mrs. Priyanga Wickramasinghe, Chairperson of the Gajaba Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (GR-SVB) and Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) and Colonel of the Regiment GR.

The Sri Lankan peacekeepers serving in the 10th contingent of SRIMED Level 2 Hospital in South Sudan were awarded United Nations Peacekeeping Medals on 17 October 2024 at Bor Camp, South Sudan, in recognition of their dedicated service.
