In response to adverse weather conditions across the country, the Sri Lanka Army, under the guidance of Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army deployed troops to facilitate the transportation of students sitting for the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination. Special transport arrangements have been made to ensure students can reach their examination centers in the affected areas. Army personnel, equipped with trucks and Uni-Buffel vehicles, have been deployed to locations such as Thihagoda, Malimbada, Athuraliya, Akurassa, and Kamburupitiya Godawa Temple to assist students facing access issues due to weather-related disruptions.

Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Commander, Security Forces (West), visited Army Base Hospital, Panagoda, and the 1st Regiment of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) on 20 November 2024.

Under the guidance of Major General J.P.C Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander, Security Forces (Wanni), the 2 Engineer Services Regiment (ESR) commenced a Generator Operator Training Workshop at 2 ESR from 18 November 2024 to 30 November 2024.

The Fire and Safety Bureau of Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited (CPSTL) organized a comprehensive emergency fire rehearsal at the Petroleum Storage Terminals in Magalle on 21 November 2024. The exercise, which took place from 1030 a.m. to 1230 p.m., was aimed at enhancing preparedness and response capabilities in the event of a fire or other emergency situation involving bulk oil storage facilities.

Under the guidance of Major General J.P.C Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander, Security Forces (Wanni), the 2 Engineer Services Regiment (ESR) commenced a Generator Operator Training Workshop at 2 ESR from 18 November 2024 to 30 November 2024.

Under the supervision of General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division and Commander of 521 Infantry Brigade, an Officer and 09 Other Ranks of 4 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) participated in the judge panel of the drill competition held at Central College in Nelliady on 21 November 2024.

Under the guidance of General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division and Commander of 522 Infantry Brigade and the supervision of the Commanding Officer of 1 Mechanized Infantry Regiment (MIR), the troops of 1 MIR conduct a dengue prevention programme at the Central College in Aiyakachchi on 22 November 2024.

Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Seva Vanitha Branch (SLCMP-SVB) conducts its annual book donation programme at the Regimental Headquarters on 08 November 2024.

Under the direction of Major General J.P.C Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander, Security Forces (Wanni) and Colonel of the Special Forces Regiment and guidance of Mrs. Anoja Peiris, the Chairperson of Special Forces Seva Vanitha Branch (SF –SVB), in collaboration with Mr. Supem de Silva, the former Secretary of the Colombo Friend in Need Society, organized an artificial limbs and spectacles donation programme for civilians of Yatawaththa at Madawala Ulpotha Chandra bimbaramaya temple premises on 21, 22, 23 and 24 November 2024.
