12 Infantry Division Conducts Donation Programme at Maha Ara Kanishta Vidyalaya

Troops of 2 (V) VIR Construct Two Houses

The troops of 2 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) constructed a new house for a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the battalion at Lunupahichchawa, Madawachchiya. The project, carried out under the guidance of the Commanding Officer of 2 (V) VIR, was funded by contributions from retired and serving Officers and Other Ranks of 2 (V) VIR.

2 (V) SLSR Builds New House for Needy Family

Under the guidance of Major General K.A.U Kodituwakku RSP USP psc IG, General Officer Commanding of 11 Infantry Division, the troops of the 2 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) built a new house for a low-income family in Akurana, Kandy.

New Home for Low Income Family in Udispatthuwa Completed by 5 SLLI Troops

Under the guidance of Major General K.A.U. Kodituwakku RSP USP psc IG, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 11 Infantry Division, a new house was built by the troops of the 5 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) for a low-income family in Udispatthuwa.

Traditional Katina Pooja Ceremony Held at Sri Naga Viharaya, Jaffna

The traditional Katina Pooja ceremony of Sri Naga Viharaya in Jaffna took place on 26 and 27 October 2024 under the guidance of Shasthrapathi, Venerable Meegahajandure Sirivimala Thero, with the support of the 51 Infantry Division.

10 (V) GW Troops Assist in Rebuilding Partially Damaged Tank Bund

Troops from the 10 (V) Gemunu Watch (GW) reconstructed the partially damaged Kudariwaththakulam tank bund on 24 October 2024. The restoration, completed under the instructions of the General Officer Commanding of the 54 Infantry Division, guidance of the Commander of the 541 Infantry Brigade, and the supervision of the Commanding Officer of the 10 (V) GW, within few hours.

Katina Pinkama Ceremony Held at Sri Samuddhi Suman Temple, Nawatkuliya

Under the guidance of Major General P.R. Pathiravithana, USAWC psc, General Officer Commanding of the 52 Infantry Division, and the supervision of Colonel S.M.C.A.S. Samarathunga RSP, Commander of the 523 Infantry Brigade, the Katina Pinkama was held at Shri Samuddhi Suman Temple, Nawatkuliya, on 22 and 23 October 2024. Katina Pinkama was sponsored by Reverend Rajakeeya Panditha Alankulame Nayaka Thero including the other monks.

Troops of 10 SLNG Conduct a Community Project

In line with the 75th Army Day, a special programme for the elderly individuals was organised by the 10 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) at the Urban Elders and Children's Home in Battaramulla on 10 October 2024, under the guidance of the Commander of the 144 Infantry Brigade and the supervision of the Commanding Officer of the 10 SLNG.

591 Infantry Brigade Organized a Blood Donation Programme

The 591 Infantry Brigade organized a blood donation programme at Brigade Headquarters on 10 October 2024. This initiative was conducted under the guidance of Major General D.R.N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, Commander of the 59 Infantry Division, and the supervision of Brigadier M.J Ubeysekera RSP psc, Commander of the 591 Infantry Brigade.
