The 591 Infantry Brigade organized a blood donation programme at Brigade Headquarters on 10 October 2024. This initiative was conducted under the guidance of Major General D.R.N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, Commander of the 59 Infantry Division, and the supervision of Brigadier M.J Ubeysekera RSP psc, Commander of the 591 Infantry Brigade.

Over 125 Officers and Other Ranks voluntarily donated blood to address the blood needs in the area.
