Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP psc IG, Commander of the Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Artillery, officially handed over his responsibilities as the Colonel Commandant to his successor, Major General K.V.N.P. Premaratne RSP USP psc, the Commander of Security Force Headquarters (East), on 2 January 2025. The ceremonial handing over was held at the Army Headquarters.
