Major General P.S. Subath Sanjeewa RSP nps psc assumed duties as the Commandant of the Army War College (AWC), Buttala on 23 June 2025 during a brief ceremony.

Brigadier K.L.I Karunanayaka RWP RSP ndc of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment assumed duties as the Commandant of the Army Training School (ATS) in Maduru Oya on 17 June 2025.

Major General H.T.W Vidyananda RWP RSP USP assumed duties as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 12 Infantry Division amidst religious blessings and military formalities at the 12 Division Headquarters on 12th June 2025.

Major General M.W.A.R.C Wijesuriya RSP USP ndc assumed duties as the 43rd General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 21 Infantry Division amidst religious blessings and military formalities at the 21 Infantry Division Headquarters on 13 June 2025.

In a successful joint operation, the Army Intelligence troops and the Police Special Task Force (STF), Nelliadi seized a large consignment of Kerala cannabis valued at approximately Rs. 400 lakh during the early hours of 15 June 2025 at the Polikandi beach in Valvettithurai.

In commemoration of Poson Poya Day, a special spiritual and wellness programme was conducted at the Abhimansala 2 Wellness and Rehabilitation Centre in Kamburupitiya under the guidance of Brigadier R.G.L.K Weerakoon RWP RSP, the Commandant of Abhimansala. The initiative was designed to uplift the spiritual and psychological well-being of resident War Heroes, further supporting their ongoing rehabilitation journey.

Major General E.M.G.A Ambanpola of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps assumed duties as the new Quarter Master General of the Sri Lanka Army on 11 June 2025 at the Army Headquarters.

Due to adverse weather conditions and strong winds, Rajawaka Madya Maha Vidyalaya in Balangoda sustained damage to its buildings and surrounding areas. In response, the troops of the 18th Battalion of the Sri Lanka National Guard (18 SLNG) supported the Disaster Management Centre (DMC), Balangoda, in removing fallen trees and cleaning the school premises on 12 June 2025.

The troops of 59 Infantry Division, under the guidance of Major General D.R.N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, the General Officer Commanding of 59 Infantry Division, conducted a Seeni Sambal buns and coriander drinks Dansala on 09 June 2025 in line with the annual holy festival at Kannagi Amman Kovil in Wattappalai.

Families of Officers residing at the Kandalanda Officers’ Married Quarters Complex organised an Ice Cream and Milk Tea Dansala on 11 June 2025 in front of the Kandalanda Officers’ Married Quarters Complex.
