As part of the Clean Sri Lanka programme, the government launched a large-scale beach cleaning initiative covering the coastal stretch from Bentota to Goviapana under the theme “Beautiful Island, Smiling People” on 12th January 2025 in Galle, under the patronage of Honorable Mr. Nalin Hewage, the Deputy Minister of Vocational Education and Galle District Member of Parliament.
The newly constructed house handed over to a needy family in Walikamam South, Uduvil on 11th January 2025, signifying a gesture of support and community collaboration.
Troops of the 21 Infantry Division, 7 (V) Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, and 5 (V) Gajaba Regiment successfully repaired a partially damaged section of the Diwulwewa Tank bund on 10th January 2025. The damage posed a significant risk to the surrounding community.

An eye and medical clinic was successfully conducted at Muhaththankulam Government Tamil Medium School, Cheddikulam, on 11th January 2025, under the guidance of Major General J.P.C Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander, Security Force (Wanni), and directions of the General Officer Commanding of the 21 Infantry Division.
The Headquarters Logistic Command celebrated its 45th Anniversary on 8th January 2025 with a series of military formalities, under the guidance of Major General E.M.M Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO, the Commander, Logistics Command, at the Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps and Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps premises in Panagoda.
