Major General D.K.S.K Dolage USP nps psc, Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) made an official visit to the Regimental Centre of Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) on 15 May 2025.

A Sri Lankan delegation headed by Hon. Arun Hemachandra, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment, participated in the United Nations Peacekeeping Ministerial 2025, held in Berlin, Germany, from 13-14 May 2025.

The final match of the 13th Defence Services Football Tournament, conducted by the Sri Lanka Navy, took place at the Navy Stadium in Welisara on 11 April 2025.

Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army, together with Mrs. Priyanga Wickramasinghe, ceremonially inaugurated the Army Headquarters Vesak Zone on the evening of Monday (12 May), representing the Commander of the Army who is currently On an official overseas visit.

Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army, inaugurated the ‘Sirasa Vesak Zone’, organised by Capital Maharaja Group on 13 May 2025 at the Sirasa Complex, Dawson Street, Colombo 2. This Vesak Zone, adorned with lanterns, attracted a large number of devotees.

The first Coordinating Conference of the Army Internal Affairs Unit, headed by Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Chief of Staff, was held at the Conference Room of the Chief of Staff on 6 May 2025.

Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo, held its Annual Sports Meet on 02 May 2025 at the Police Ground, Bambalapitiya. The Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) WWV, RWP and two bars, RSP and bar, USP, MMSc (Strat Stu-China), MSc (Def Stu) in Mgt, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), fndu (China), psc and the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, graced the occasion as special guests.

The Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, paid an administrative visit to the Army Base Hospital in Minneriya on Friday (09). During the visit, he conducted a detailed inspection of the former Infantry Training Centre (ITC) Headquarters building, as well as the current Outpatients Department (OPD), wards, and the PULHEEMS section.
