The 13th Defence Services Boxing Championship – 2025 was held at the Air Force Indoor Stadium, Katunayake, with the participation of the Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy and Sri Lanka Air Force.

In a successful joint operation, the Army Intelligence troops and the Police Special Task Force (STF), Nelliadi seized a large consignment of Kerala cannabis valued at approximately Rs. 400 lakh during the early hours of 15 June 2025 at the Polikandi beach in Valvettithurai.

General Hamilton Wanasinghe (Retd) VSV USP ndc, a former Commander of the Army, passed away on 13 June 2025 after a brief illness at the Army Hospital, Narahenpita. He was 91 years old at the time of his demise.

Major General D.K.S.K Dolage USP nps psc, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), visited 2 (V) Sri Lanka Signal Corps, 3 (V) Military Intelligence Corps, and 3 (V) Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock on 12 June 2025, during his official visit to Security Force Headquarters (East).

Sri Lanka Army Muaythai athletes secured their third consecutive victory at the National Muaythai Championship - 2025, clinching 17 Gold medals, 16 Silver medals, and 22 Bronze medals on 05 June 2025 at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium, Colombo.
