The certificate awarding ceremony for the Career Development and Leadership Refresher Course was held at Army Headquarters on 04 April 2025. Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, graced the event as the Chief Guest.

Commodore M Moniruzzaman, (TAS), NGP, psc, BN, Defence Adviser in the High Commission of Bangladesh in Sri Lanka, paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army at the Army Headquarters on 03 April 2025.

The 13th Defence Services Road Race – 2024/2025, organised by the Sri Lanka Army Athletics Association, concluded on 23 March 2025 at the Army Camp, Panagoda, under the supervision of Major General B.G.S Fernando USP, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Army Athletics Committee.

The final certificate awarding ceremony for 30 participants, including members of the Tri-Services, Sri Lanka Police and Civil Security Department, who successfully qualified for the internationally recognized National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 4 after completing various technical courses, took place on the 02nd of April at the Ranaviru Resource Centre, Wattala.

The Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General K.P.A Jayasekara (Retd) WWV RSP VSV USP ndc psc, together with Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, paid their final respects to the late Major General P.I Pathirathne (Retd) of the Gemunu Watch, at a solemn ceremony held at the Borella General Cemetery on Monday afternoon, 31 March 2025.

The Directorate of Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, under the guidance of Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, organised the Stage III medical camp at the Abhimansala 3 Wellness Centre, Pangolla, on 28 March 2025. This initiative aimed to address the healthcare needs of disabled veterans in the Kurunegala area.

On 26 March, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG Commander of the Army, participated in a special Iftar ceremony at the Grand Maitland in Colombo 07. The ceremony marked the traditional observance of Iftar during the holy month of Ramadan, reinforcing cultural solidarity within the Sri Lanka Army.

The Student Officers of Senior Command Course (SCC) No. 13, who are designated to assume the role of Commanding Officers in the Sri Lanka Army, conducted a visit to Army Headquarters on 26 March 2025 as part of their course curriculum.

Major General D.P Welagedara RSP USP psc IG was invited to the Office of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, on 26 March 2025, together with his family members, prior to his retirement from the Sri Lanka Army after completing a distinguished career spanning 35 years.

Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, conducted an administrative inspection of key installations under the Security Forces Headquarters (West) on 21st March 2025. The visit aimed to assess ongoing operational and infrastructural developments within the area.
