51 Infantry Division troops of the Security Force HQ - Jaffna with the intention of promoting goodwill and reconciliation between the Security Forces and Jaffna cricketers organized a friendly cricket tournament during Feb 18-19 at the 51 Infantry Division playground in Kopay, Jaffna.
223 Infantry Brigade's Cricket Tournament Attracts 46 Local Teams
Aimed at further fostering civil-military relations, harmony and goodwill and developing sportsmanship among sports enthusiasts in Tambalagamuwa, Kinniya, and Muttur area, a cricket tournament was organized by the 22 Infantry Division with the support of 6 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps and the 15 Sri Lanka Light Infantry along with 223 Infantry Brigade at the Tambalagamuwa Public Stadium during 22-26 February 2023.
Troops in Jaffna Play Cricket in Friendly Tournament
A cricket tournament, organized by the 3 Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) for the purpose of further promoting cooperation among members of the Security Forces in Jaffna and the Forward Maintenance Area North and its under commands units got underway and its final encounter kicked off on 27 February 2023 at the Sports Ground of the Security Forces Headquarters-Jaffna.
54 Division Clinches SF- Wanni Basketball Championship
Coinciding with the 25th anniversary celebrations of the Security Force HQ-Wanni (SFHQ-Wanni), the 62 Infantry Division troops took steps to organize an Inter-Division Basketball Tournament among Wanni troops in close coordination with 21, 54, 56 and 65 Infantry Divisions got underway at the SFHQ-Wanni sports complex in Vavuniya during Feb 24-25.
Army Riders Shine in ‘Eliyakanda Speed Hill Climb -2023’
The 27th ‘Eliyakanda Speed Hill Climb - 2023’ held on during the weekend (18-19 Feb) in Matara Eliyakanda Motor Track enabled participants of the Sri Lanka Army Motor Sports Committee to win several trophies beating a few hundreds of riders drawn from many corners of the island.
