RussianβSri Lankan Joint Military Exercise βWolverine Path 2025β Commences
The inaugural RussianβSri Lankan bilateral military exercise βWolverine Path 2025β is scheduled to take place from 25 October to 04 November 2025 at the Army Training School (ATS), Maduruoya. This tactical counter-terrorist exercise marks the first-ever joint field training collaboration between the Sri Lanka Army and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Army Chief Commends Notable Service of Retiring Major General
Major General K.A.D.S.K Dharmasena RWP was invited to the office of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, on 24 October 2025, prior to his retirement from the Sri Lanka Army after a distinguished military career spanning over 35 years. The senior officer sustained visual impairment during military operations in the year 2000, has continued to serve with dedication and resilience, setting an inspiring example of commitment and courage to all ranks of the Army.
SLEME Restores Army Vehicle Fleet
Under the direction of Commander of the Army a fleet of Army vehicles has been fully restored to motorable condition by the skilled technicians of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME). The repair work carried out at the SLEME Base Workshops, under the supervision of the Directorate of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, have saved the Army a substantial sum of money that would otherwise have been spent on new vehicle acquisitions.

Sri Lanka Army Continues Medical Camp for Islandwide Disabled Veterans
Under the direction of the Commander of the Army, the Directorate of Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, in collaboration with the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), conducted a medical camp for disabled retired personnel as part of a series of ongoing medical programmes on 21 October 2025 at the Headquarters of the 58 Infantry Division, Puttalam.
