ASVU Monthly Meeting Highlights - March 2024

The monthly meeting of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) was held on 01 March 2024 at the Army Headquarters premises with the participation of Regimental Seva Vanitha Chairpersons, Executive Board Members and Senior Members.

SF-SVB's Organizes Donation Program at Weera Madduma Bandara School

The Special Forces Seva Vanitha Branch (SF - SVB) organized a donation program at Weera Madduma Bandara School in Pallepola on 01 March 2024. The event was carried out under the guidance of Chairperson of SF – SVB, Mrs. Anoja Peiris and Colonel of the Regiment Special Forces and General Officer Commanding, 57 Infantry Division, Major General J.P.C Peiris RWP RSP ndc, with the aim of supporting the education of primary school children by providing school bags and essential stationary supplies.

Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, the President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) paid a visit to the 'Abimansala - 3' at Pangolla on 29 February 2024 with the motive of raising moral spirits of differently able War Heroes under recuperation and rehabilitation.

The Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), under the direction of Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army, donated 100 dry ration packs to Army and civil employees working at the Army Headquarters on Tuesday (27 Feb) at the ASVU office.

Under the guidance of Mrs. Ganga Herath, Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSC - SVB), a scholarship was awarded to Ms. Sadareka Kumarasinghe, daughter of late Sergeant H.D.S Kumarasinge, a fallen Sri Lanka Signal Corps War Hero.

SF – SVB Distributes Gift Packs among the Children at 'Mithra and Happy Children’s Orphanages in Saliyapura

Sri Lanka Army Special Forces Seva Vanitha Branch (SF - SVB) conducted a donation programme at the 'Mithra and Happy children’s orphanages in Saliyapura, Anuradhapura on 24 February 2024. Accordantly, each residential child received gift packs comprising sweets, medicine, milk powder, and sanitary items. Children treated with a delicious lunch at the end of the programme.
