    The inaugural warming ceremony of the newly - constructed Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess (WOs’ and Sgts’ Mess) in the 24 Infantry Division HQ compound took place on Friday (8 Sept) during a simple ceremony, attended by Major General W Chandrasiri RSP USP psc, General Officer Commanding, 24 Infantry Division as the Chief Guest.

    24 Infantry Division’s R & R Musical Session Brings Joy

    In an effort to boost morale, mental happiness and provide much-needed relaxation for troops in the 24 Infantry Division HQ, a special ‘Rest and Recreation’ (R&R) programme was launched by the Sri Lanka Army Band and the 18 VIjayabahu Infantry Regiment Beat Band in order to tap potential musical talents of the troops serving under 241, 242, 243 Infantry Brigades and at the 24 Infantry Division in Akkaraipattu, Arugambay, Batticaloa and Malwatta (Ampara) respectively.
