The Battalion Support Weapons (BSW) Officers Course – 88 (2025/I) at the Infantry Training Centre (ITC) in Minneriya concluded with a certificate-awarding ceremony on 29 April 2025. The event was graced by Brigadier M.W.S Millagala RWP RSP USP Hdmc psc, the Commandant of ITC, as the Chief Guest.

The certificate awarding ceremony of ‘Junior Instructor Course - 106’ was held at the Combat Training School (CTS) - Ampara on 10 April 2025. The Commandant of CTS, Brigadier M.P.S.P Kulasekara WWV RWP RSP, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The Directorate of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers conducted an awareness programme on Maintenance of Bio Medical Gas System for Officers and Other Ranks of the Sri Lanka Electrical & Mechanical Engineers at Narahenpita Hospital on 22th April 2025.

Under the guidance of Major General W.W.M.P.W.W.B.R Palamakumbura RWP RSP, General Officer Commanding of 21 Infantry Division, a lecture on drug prevention was conducted at the auditorium of 21 Infantry Division on 09 April 2025.

Under the guidance of Major General K.M.P.S.B Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, Commander of Security Forces (Wanni), the Basic Life Saving Course No. 23 was successfully concluded at the 21 Infantry Division on 10 April 2025.

The Tailor–Made United Nations Military Observers Course and Aero Medical Evacuation Team Pre-Deployment Training Course was successfully concluded on 27th March 2025 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL).

The Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni), in collaboration with the Directorate of Legal Services, Human Rights, and Humanitarian Law, conducted an educative lecture on women’s rights on 15th January 2025 at the Headquarters auditorium.

In recent years, online gambling and gaming have become increasingly popular due to its convenience and accessibility. However, it also poses several dangers and harm to the society. In contemporary context it is widely spreaded among Army personnel. Realising the timely importance of this danger, the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) organized an educative lecture on consequences of online gambling and gaming under the directions of Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Commandant (Overlooking)-SLAVF on 08th January 2025

The Security Forces Headquarters (West) organised a lecture on "Prevention and Awareness of Infectious Diseases" as part of its training day programme on 8th January 2025 at the 4th Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery.

The Advanced Disaster Response Training Course No. 13 and Intermediate Life-Saving Course No. 06 were conducted from 09 December 2024 to 26 December 2024 at the Sri Lanka Army Centre for Disaster Response Training (SLACDRT) in Gampola.
