The Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) Base Workshop, Katubedda reached a significant milestone by obtaining the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification from the Sri Lanka Standards Institution.
The certificate awarding ceremony was held on 04 May 2026 at the Institution premises in Narahenpita. The certificate was presented to Colonel J.M.R. Jayasinghe psc Lsc, the Commandant of SLEME Base Workshop by Mrs. Siddhika G. Senaratne, Director General of the Institution.
The certification followed a comprehensive evaluation of systems and procedures and reflects the commitment and dedication demonstrated by all ranks in maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
