The troops of 23 Infantry Division conducted a dry ration pack donation programme for low-income families of Punani on 20 April 2026 at Pancha Maha Viharaya, Punani, under the instructions of Major General G.P.P. Kulathilaka ndc, General Officer Commanding of 23 Infantry Division.
During the programme, 90 families received dry ration bags, each valued at Rs. 2,500.00. The sponsorship for this initiative was provided by Mr. Prasad Loku Balasuriya, founder of Athahitha, in line with the ‘Humanity Relief Yatra’ series, marking its 37th phase.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, Dr. Amila Nalinda Silva, Dr. Nadeera Jayawardena and several government officials of the Punani village participated in the event.
