The Army War College (AWC) in Buttala hosted a distinguished graduation ceremony for the first trimester of 2026 on 10 April 2026 at the AWC Auditorium.
A total of 143 Student Officers successfully completed Senior Command Course No 16 (SCC 16) and Junior Command Course No 35 (JCC 35), comprising officers from the Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy and Sri Lanka Air Force. Notably, the course also included two foreign officers from Bangladesh and Pakistan. Major General D.K.R.N. Silva RSP USP psc, Commandant of the AWC, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
During the certificate awarding ceremony, top-performing officers were presented with certificates and special awards.

Third in Order of Merit: Major H.G.S. Viranga, Engineer Services Regiment
