The troops of the 9th Battalion, Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, constructed a new house for a deserving family in Muhathuwaram, Verugal and it was ceremonially vested in the beneficiary on 06 April 2026.
Major General W.B.M.K.G.K. Weerasekara WWV RWP RSP USP AUSWC psc, General Officer Commanding of 22 Infantry Division, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The financial contribution for this initiative was provided by Mr. C. Danesh Ranathunga and his family.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, government officials and relatives of the beneficiary participated in the event.
