The Mahameruwa Rallycross 1-2026 was conducted at Mahameruwa Racing Track, Giriulla, from 07 to 08 February 2026, with the participation of players from the Sri Lanka Army, Navy, Air Force and civil sport teams.
Commendable performances delivered by the Army players are as follows:
Lance Corporal K.A.D.R. Jayashan of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers secured First Place in the STD 125cc (National) event, First Place in the MX 125cc (National) event and Second Place in the STD 250cc (National) event.
Craftsman J.N.M. Jayasundara of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers secured Second Place in the STD 125cc (National) event and Second Place in the STD 250cc (National) event.
Gunner T.N. Kumara of the Sri Lanka Artillery secured Third Place in the MX 125cc (National) event.
Infantryman L.B.D. Senevirathne of the Gajaba Regiment secured Third Place in the Super Motar 250cc Event (Race 01 – National) and Third Place in the Super Motar 250cc Event (Race 02 – National).
