Sri Lanka Army 12th Contingent for Level-2 SRIMED Hospital in South Sudan Presents Ceremonial Salute to Commander of the Army

The 12th Contingent of the Sri Lanka Army, scheduled to embark on its mission to serve at the Level-2 SRIMED Hospital under the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) on 20 February 2026, presented a ceremonial salute to Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, at the SLAMC Regimental Headquarters in Werahera on 10 February 2026.

Colonel D.R.S.A. Jayamanna RSP USP commanded the contingent, with Major H.P.D. Galgodella USP serving as the Second-in-Command. The contingent comprises 62 military personnel, including 12 Officers and 50 Other Ranks.
