Army troops conducted a dry ration distribution programme for needy families in Atambagaskada at Sri Sudharmarama Viharaya, Atambagaskada, on 03 January 2026.
The programme was organized by the 8th Battalion of the Gemunu Watch under the 56 Infantry Division, with dry rations generously donated by the Diyawadana Nilame of the Sri Dalada Maligawa, Kandy.
Major General S.A.U.A. Solangarachchi RSP ndc psc, General Officer Commanding of the 56 Infantry Division, participated in the event as the Chief Guest. Senior officers, officers, other ranks and villagers were also present at the event.
