In response to the recent flood disaster that affected several areas of the Mullaitivu District, a dry ration distribution programme was conducted to support 100 selected needy families in the most affected localities.
The programme was sponsored by Venerable Atambagaskada Sri Kalyana Thissa Abidana Maha Nayaka Thero, with the generous support of the Sri Dalada Maligawa, Kandy. The relief initiative was conducted by 591 Infantry Brigade in collaboration with 12 Sri Lanka Light Infantry troops, under the guidance of Security Forces Headquarters – Wanni and 59 Infantry Division.
Government officials, senior officers, officers and other ranks participated in the event.
