The Siripadaya Construction Project is progressing steadily under the close supervision of Directorate of Engineer Services, in accordance with approved designs and safety standards.
The 300 mm side wall has been fully completed, while construction of the 500 mm wall has reached approximately 90% completion as of 31 December 2025. The main retaining wall is presently under construction, with around 65% of the work completed. The hand rail has also been completed up to approximately 70%.
Further, transporting materials to the construction area is challenging due to difficult terrain, and moving items such as cement bags requires significant effort. In this regard, Sri Lanka Army troops have provided valuable support by assisting with the transportation of materials to the construction site.
As of now, all required materials are expected to be supplied to the construction site and the Engineer Services Regiment expects to complete the project by 05 January 2026.
