A Pakistan Humanitarian Assistance Team comprising 47 USAR personnel, accompanied by specially trained military dogs from the Pakistan K-9 Unit and a substantial consignment of relief goods, arrived aboard a C-130 aircraft in Sri Lanka on 03 December 2025 as part of Pakistan’s continued support for islandwide relief efforts.
The High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka, Major General Faheem ul Aziz (Retd), together with dignitaries from both nations, including senior Sri Lanka Army officials, attended the team’s arrival, highlighting the strong bilateral ties and cooperative spirit between the two countries.
Major General N.A.M.P. Nagahawatta RSP, Director of Assets Management, received the team on behalf of the Sri Lanka Army, conveyed Sri Lanka’s appreciation for Pakistan’s timely assistance.
