Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the Productivity and Process Improvement Course

The Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the Productivity and Process Improvement Course was held on 25 November 2025 at the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Headquarters.

In line with the Government’s Clean Sri Lanka Project and the directives of the Commander of the Army, several measures have been introduced to implement the 5S concept at the Headquarters under the guidance and supervision of the Commandant, Major General K. V. N. P. Premarathna RSP USP nps psc.

To further strengthen the skills and attitudes of officers and other ranks, a five-day training programme on Productivity and Process Improvement was conducted from 27 to 31 October 2025 with the support of the National Productivity Secretariat. The programme focused on key areas such as the 5S concept, green productivity, strategic management, human resources management and the use of information technology for productivity enhancement.

A total of 10 officers and 114 other ranks from the Headquarters and affiliated volunteer units successfully completed the course.

Mr. S. Jayakody, Director of the National Productivity Secretariat and Mr. Sugath Disanayake, Senior Advisory Productivity Officer, delivered an informative lecture on productivity improvement. Senior officers, officers and other ranks were also present at the occasion.
