Newly Appointed GOC of 21 Infantry Division Assumes Duties

Major General T.N.K. Perera assumed duties as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 21 Infantry Division on 21 November 2025 at the Division Headquarters.

Upon his arrival, the newly appointed GOC was accorded a guard turnout and a guard of honour, presented by troops of the 2 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment. He later posed for a group photograph.

Religious observances were conducted under the guidance of the maha sangha, invoking blessings for his new role. Afterwards, he addressed those present, outlining his vision and expectations for the future progress of the division.

The day’s formalities concluded with an all ranks tea, offering an opportunity for officers and troops to extend their congratulations and best wishes. Senior officers, officers and other Ranks attended the occasion.
