A fully equipped new house was constructed and ceremonially vested in a needy family in Dematagahawela, Narammala. The initiative was made possible through the generous financial contribution of Mr A.B. Dean, coordinated by the Roshan Mahanama Foundation, with workforce assistance from troops of the 9 Sri Lanka National Guard under 571 Infantry Brigade and 1st Engineer Services Regiment.
The official handover ceremony was held on 13 November 2025 with the participation of renowned cricketer and founder of the Roshan Mahanama Foundation, Mr Roshan Mahanama, and his spouse, together with Mr A.B. Dean and his spouse. Major General Kumudu Perera (Retired), senior officers, officers and other ranks were also present at the occasion.
