The 573 Infantry Brigade under the Security Forces (West) conducted a tourism awareness workshop on 29 October 2025 at the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Light Infantry Banquet Hall, Boossa.
The programme aimed to strengthen coordination between the Sri Lanka Army and 63 tourism stakeholders in the Galle District, focusing on safety and emergency response for both local and foreign tourists.
A team from the 1 Commando Regiment, led by Lieutenant Colonel W.W.M.C Bandara USP psc, delivered lectures and practical demonstrations on emergency preparedness, coordination with local authorities and safety planning for tourist establishments.
