A group of Sri Lanka Army athletes who represented the nation at the 4th South Asian Senior Athletics Championship 2025 returned to the island on 28 October 2025.
Upon their arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, they were warmly welcomed by Major General K.T.P. De Silva RSP ndu psc, Adjutant General of the Sri Lanka Army, together with senior military officers and family members.
Competing against top athletes from across the South Asian region, the Sri Lanka Army sportsmen and sportswomen delivered impressive results in various track and field events, bringing pride to both the Sri Lanka Army and the country. In total, Army athletes won 12 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze medals during the event.
Directors, senior officers, officers and other ranks participated in the event.
