The 1 Corps commemorated its 4th Anniversary with a series of programmes at its Headquarters on 17 October 2025. Interfaith religious ceremonies were conducted on 15 and 16 October 2025 at Kilinochchi Lumbini Viharaya, St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church and Murukkandi Hindu Kovil.
On the anniversary day, troops of the 8th Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery presented a ceremonial Guard Turnout to Major General K.H.M.S Wickramarathne RSP, Commander of 1 Corps. To mark the occasion, he planted a sandalwood sapling in the camp premises, followed by a group photograph and a troops address.
Senior officers, officers and other ranks participated in the occasion.
