Troops of the 4th Battalion the Gemunu Watch, under the 232 Infantry Brigade of the 23 Infantry Division, constructed a new house for a low-income family at Komathurei North.
The project was sponsored by the Children’s Emergency Relief International (CERI) and the house was officially vested in the beneficiary by Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces (East), together with Mr. Nitin Tonk, National Director in India and Acting Lead in Sri Lanka of CERI, on 15 October 2025.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the occasion.
