Brigadier M.K.S.S. De Silva, the Director of Budget and Financial Management, assumed duties as the 19th Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) with military formalities on 08 October 2025 at the Regimental Headquarters of SLAGSC.
Upon arrival, he was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant of SLAGSC and accorded a Guard Turnout. Thereafter, the Colonel Commandant laid a floral wreath at the War Heroes’ monument in tribute to the fallen war heroes.
In accordance with military traditions, a Parade was accorded to the newly appointed Colonel Commandant before he joined the All-Ranks tea. The day’s proceedings concluded with a troop address by the Colonel Commandant, during which he expressed appreciation for the dedication and commitment of all ranks.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
