The finals of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) Inter Battalion Cricket Tournament concluded on 27 August 2025 at the Rendezvous Ground, SLAVF. Major General K.V.N.P Premaratne RSP USP nps psc, Commandant, SLAVF, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
The tournament, held from 21 August 2025 at the Regimental Headquarters Sri Lanka Engineers, featured ten teams representing various Security Forces Headquarters.
In the ten-over softball final, 5 (V) Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) set a target of 106/8. Rising to the challenge, 17 (V) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) reached 107/4 in 9 overs to clinch the championship, leaving 5 (V) SLSR as runners-up. The Commandant presented the trophies amid enthusiastic cheers from the spectators.
Special award winners were:
• Man of the Match - Corporal D.I. Lakshitha, 17 (V) SLLI
• Man of the Series - Sergeant K.P.G.I.U.K Jayalath, 5 (V) SLSR
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks witnessed the event.
