Internal Affairs Unit Holds Second Progressive Coordinating Conference at Army Headquarters

The Internal Affairs Unit (IAU) of the Sri Lanka Army, established on 01 April 2025 as part of a government initiative to strengthen integrity and curb corruption within the organisation held its second progressive coordinating conference today (12 August 2025) at the Chief of Staff Office conference hall, Army Headquarters.

The Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General D.K.S.K Dolage USP nps psc who also the Head of the IAU, presided over the meeting, functioning as the Integrity Officer, in attendance. A total of 16 committee members participated, reviewing the progress of ongoing anti-corruption measures, evaluating current integrity-enhancing initiatives and identifying further steps to ensure transparency and accountability across all Army formations.

During discussions, members reaffirmed their commitment to upholding the Army’s core values and aligning operational practices with the highest ethical standards, in line with national policies on good governance.

The Internal Affairs Unit continues to play a vital role in reinforcing discipline, maintaining organizational trust and safeguarding the reputation of the Sri Lanka Army through proactive monitoring and preventive actions.
