In a move to enhance leadership competence and decision-making abilities among military personnel, an awareness lecture on the ‘Human Factor’ was held at the Army Headquarters on 01 August 2025. The session was conducted under the directives of the Commander of the Army and under the close supervision of Major General W.M.N.K.D Bandara RWP RSP USP psc, the Director General Training.
The lecture was delivered by Mr Senerath Jayasekara MIntSy, MAv, BAvMgmt, FRAeS, Regional President/Managing Director of a German/Austrian conglomerate.
The session emphasised the critical role of understanding human behaviour, interpersonal dynamics and psychological readiness in leadership, particularly in high-pressure operational environments.
Over 150 Officers representing various establishments across the Army participated in the programme.
Concluding the event, Major General D.K.S.K Dolage USP nps psc, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army, presented a token of appreciation to the guest speaker, acknowledging his valuable insights and contribution to the professional development of the Army’s officer cadre.
