The Sri Lanka Army organised several medical camps across the island from 20th January 2025 for disabled and retired Army personnel. In keeping with the vision articulated in the Clean Sri Lanka programme, introduced under the guidance of His Excellency the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, this initiative aims to promote inclusive healthcare and safeguard the wellbeing of disabled veterans as part of a dignified and healthy society.
The series of medical camps reached over 10,000 beneficiaries, including veterans and family members of War Heroes currently experiencing medical challenges.
These medical camps provided a wide range of services, including general medical consultations, dermatology and dental clinics, prosthetic maintenance services, mental health counselling, and nutritional guidance.
