Colonel Hassan Amir, the Defence Advisor of the Republic of Maldives, visited the Marksmanship and Sniper Training School (MSTS) on 23 July 2025 to review the training progress and administrative aspects concerning two Maldivian Defence Force personnel, Sergeant Hussain Fasheen and Sergeant Aisham Ahmad, currently attending the Sniper Course.
The course, conducted under the Sri Lanka Army’s Annual Training Programme, integrates local and foreign personnel, enhancing sniper tactics and precision marksmanship.
During his visit, Defence Advisor was briefed on course content, training techniques, and the performance of foreign trainees. He also interacted with instructors and participants, commending the MSTS team for their professionalism and their role in strengthening defence cooperation between the two nations.
