Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, the Commander of the Army, handed over the key of a newly constructed house to Staff Sergeant W.M.G.M. Mangala of the 5(V) Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment (GR) in Rajanganaya on 09 July 2025, amidst religious blessings.
Upon arrival, the Commander of the Army was warmly welcomed by the Commander, Security Forces (West) and the Colonel of the Regiment of GR.
This new house was constructed by the troops of the GR with financial assistance provided by Dr. Gayathri Salgadu and Dr. Prasad Gunaruwan, coordinated by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 12 Infantry Division.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, Government Officials and Civilians of the area participated in the event.
